Well… Spring has FINALLY arrived on the East Coast and I couldn’t be happier. I think Donny agrees, although turnout sans-blanket was a harsh reminder of how much work it is to keep a grey horse clean during the warmer months.
While I wish I could buy everything I wanted all of the time…. The sad reality is… I cannot. So I thought I would share my Spring/Summer wishlist (along with a few of my favorites that I use nonstop) with you in case you’re looking to do some damage on your own!
Show Coat

I love the contrast collar and pocket seams of these RJ Classics Victory coats. (They also come in solid color options.) I went out on a serious limb and just ordered this one in Silver Birch – hopefully the judges aren’t too put off by it but I thought it would look great with Donny given he is a dapple grey. We’ll see – I’ll keep you posted!
Show Shirt

I love the clean, sporty look of this Carma Italia show shirt, and after trying one of their long sleeved shirts I’m sure I’d love the quality of the short sleeved just as much. Saddle Shoppe carries a variety of unique brands that you don’t normally find at Dover or Smartpak, so check them out if you’re looking for something special. First time buyers get $20 off with code ECE20.

Hunter rules, be damned! I adore the blue trim and crystal snap buttons on this Sarm Hippique short sleeved show shirt from 17 Hands Equestrian. Pair it with a crisp navy show coat and no matter how you ride, at least you’ll be looking like the winner.
Show Breeches

Cavallo has quickly become one of my favorite brands, and honestly it’s all thanks to SS. I don’t think any other retailers carry Cavallo in the US. They are the perfect rise, length and I love the knee patch silicone grip. I can’t wait to use them in the hunter ring this season.
Schooling Shirts

City Girl Equestrian’s tech shirts are very similar, dare I not say… better, than the coveted EIS 1/4 zip tops. A bit more substantial than the Tailored Sportsman sun shirts, City Girl’s are the perfect size and the Cascade white color is NOT see through. They also come in a few other fun colors, like berry, magnolia and blue ridge and are one of my go-to’s when schooling in the warmer weather. Use code ALIST15 for 15% off orders over $15.

I just bought this Ariat 1/4 zip (‘Blue Cloud’ color exclusive to Smartpak) and I love it because it’s very thin & lightweight and NOT skin tight. A Medium fits true to size, it is a little baggier than some of the other sun and schooling shirts on the market today, which I happen to like when I’m casually roasting in the heat.

Much like the Ariat 1/4 zip, the Dublin Airflow CDT Long Sleeve Tech Top is super lightweight and a great fit. Finally… a 1/4 zip sun shirt that fits my lanky arms! You can use their website to search for the dealer nearest you – or shop online at most of your favorite tack shops!
Schooling Breeches

Beat the heat with the Bella legging. I have a pair of these and can’t wait to use them when the weather gets insanely hot and I’m having an easy school. They’re crazy lightweight, super flattering and have a thin silicone knee patch. (Note: these also come in a full seat version.)

I have a few pairs of these ROMFH Sarafina breeches and love them. You can throw them in the wash (and even the dryer, oops) and they hold up ride after ride. They’re stretchy, the perfect rise and come in a ton of colors – I seriously wish I had an entire collection. I have nothing but great things to say about them.
Schooling/Show Belts

Be totally unique with a custom Boy-O-Boy Bridleworks belt. With endless colors and amazing patterns to choose from, you will become addicted to designing your own belts with Amanda. They are gorgeously handcrafted and truly pieces of art. I have three myself and am constantly daydreaming about my next creation. Use code ECE10 for a discount at checkout (excludes gift cards and monograms.)

Look totally polished and a little bit glam with a G Duftler belt from 17 Hands Equestrian. I mean… come on, that buckle would look so cute with a shadbelly! I have it in black with a gold buckle and blush with a rose gold buckle… I wear them in the ‘real world’ all of the time and constantly get compliments.

Be streamlined with an Ellany Equestrian Elastic Belt – zero bulk under your show coat thanks to Ellany’s lay-flat buckle designs. Additionally, they’re adjustable, so no matter what breeches you wear you’ll always have a perfect fit. (PS – you can get them monogrammed too! You’re welcome.) Use TaylorB10 for a discount at checkout.
Boot Socks

DREAMERS N SCHEMERS! Hands down the best patterns, plus a cushioned design alleviates pressure & protects your heels from boot rubs! I am obsessed with these socks. I may have to be a little conservative in the hunter ring, but D&S lets me be as wild as I wanna be on the DL (until my boots come off.) Use ECE for a discount at checkout!
Casual Wear

Spring has officially sprung, and Tucker Tweed’s Camden Crossbody bag in Rosé is the perfect way to celebrate. I am in love with the color of this bag and the everyday ease of the crossbody design.

Be a little cheeky with a graphic tee from TKEQ. Soft and fitted, these tees let your inner equestrian shine through and are perfect for schooling or running around town. It’s no secret I am obsessed with my horse Donny, a dapple grey, so I of course immediately fell in love with their #dapplebae tee!

Be a DL horse girl with a tee from Huntsmen and Hounds. Also, cozy up on chilly spring nights in their amazing bomber jacket! (My absolute favorite is their ‘Foxy Pocket’ tee featuring Arlow the fox!)
As I find new drool-worthy things, I’ll update this post. Did I miss anything? What are your new season favorites?! PS – stay tuned for a horse version of this post, coming next week!
The Rose is finally available?! Alright!
